A 22-YEAR-OLD man was killed when a car containing six young people plunged into a drainage ditch near Magor this weekend Jamie Linton, from Newport, was one of six people in a Vauxhall Corsa, which crashed on a dirt track near the sea wall at Redwick sometime between 6pm and 7pm on Friday.

The car fell upside-down into the drainage ditch, or reen, which runs along the road's edge.

My thoughts go out to all of Jamie's family and friends. Everyone who knew Jamie (or Owl) knew what a special, caring person he was. He was the first person to ask how you were; the first person to make you laugh, he was a diamond – one of a kind. I'll always remember the times I spent with him... RIP Jamie, words cannot describe how much you will be missed...xx
